Welcome to my readers
Dear readers,
Welcome to my blog, where I’ll be posting articles periodically, sharing things I’ve learned in my 35 years of practicing energy work. I hope they will benefit you by providing reminders and focal points on your way to self-realization.
I was recently reading Annie Dillard‘s book, The Writing Life and several passages reinforced my commitment to share what I’ve learned, and they might inspire you, too.
Why do you never find anything written about that idiosyncratic thought you advert to, about your fascination with something no one else understands? Because it is up to you. There is something you find interesting, for a reason hard to explain because you have never read it on any page; there you begin. You were made and set here to give voice to this, your astonishment… Write as if you were dying. At the same time, assume you write for an audience of terminal patients. That is, after all, the case. What would you begin writing if you knew you would die soon? What could you say to a dying person that would not enrage by its triviality?
Dillard so articulately expresses the thrust behind my writing this blog. It’s not that I’m any great writer. It’s not that I want to impose my opinion on anyone. It’s that I feel a duty to make these ideas available to anyone who may find them helpful. She goes on to say:
…the impulse to keep to yourself what you have learned is not only shameful, it is destructive. Anything you do not give freely and abundantly is lost to you. You open your safe and find ashes.
Though I find her words extreme, they did light a fire under me and caused me to persevere in writing this blog even when fear and self-consciousness kept stalling me out.
I dedicate this blog to Addy Bachrach who for years has tapped me on the shoulder and urged me to write about the insights that emerge from my work.
I am infinitely grateful to my beloved clients who have allowed me to accompany them on their healing journeys, each one astonishingly unique and revelatory. Because of their honesty and willingness and love, these gleanings, these insights, are able to manifest. I wish them every blessing.
